Support Sheila Kastner as a recipient of the "2011 Outstanding Advocates For Children & Youth Award" presented by John J. Byrne Community Center.

SHEILA KASTNER of Kastner Fundraising Projects has been named one of the top 25 individuals to receive the first-ever OUTSTANDING ADVOCATE FOR CHILDREN & YOUTH AWARD on September 13th for outstanding civic and community support! Help support Sheila in her goal to raise a minimum of $1,000 for this important fundraiser (click here for details). All donations are 100 percent tax-deductible!

Proceeds support the John J. Byrne Community Center of Uniondale's programs and services for the children and families of the region!

Sheila is the epitome of Community Activist, Fundraiser and philanthropist.

She is involved in almost every aspect of every charitable organization imaginable.

From her first internship with the Association of Mentally Ill Children, to her continuing work for the Long Island Tourette Syndrome Association to her fundraising for the North Shore/LIJ Huntington Hospital and the Don Monti Cancer Center in Huntington and her fundraising for the Huntington Hospital, Cancer Care, Family Services, Visiting Nurses and Daytop Village, Island Harvest, Pet Peeves of Long Island, to her work for The Long Island Art Council at Freeport, The Kidney and Urology Foundation, The American Kidney Fund and the Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center of Nassau County Sheila is nothing short of a bundle of philanthropic energy.

In 2008, Sheila was nominated and was delighted to be a recipient of a Long Island Business News "Health Care Hero" Award.

The inaugural OUTSTANDING ADVOCATES FOR CHILDREN & YOUTH AWARDS COCKTAIL RECEPTION took place on Tuesday, September 13, 2011, 6pm to 8pm, at The Omni, 333 Earle Ovington Boulevard, Uniondale. Hosted by Forchelli, Curto, Deegan, Schwartz, Mineo, Cohn, and Terrana LLP.
