Support Kathleen Deegan Dickson, ESQ. as a recipient of the "2011 Outstanding Advocates For Children & Youth Award" presented by John J. Byrne Community Center.

KATHLEEN DEEGAN DICKSON, ESQ. is one of the top 25 individuals to receive the first-ever ADVOCATE FOR CHILDREN & YOUTH AWARD on September 13th for outstanding civic and community support! Help support Kathleen in his goal to raise a minimum of $1,000 for this important fundraiser (click here for details). All donations are 100 percent tax-deductible!

Proceeds support the John J. Byrne Community Center of Uniondale's programs and services for the children and families of the region!

Kathleen Deegan Dickson recognizes the importance of providing opportunity and support to the youth of Long Island in order to ensure their future success and the future success of the region. Ms. Dickson is a practicing attorney who concentrates her practice in the areas of real estate development matters, and, in particular, land use and zoning law. Kathleen has an extensive track record of success on significant projects throughout Long Island. Perhaps more importantly, she has a reputation for effectiveness and integrity in Long Island's current development climate. She is former counsel to the City of Glen Cove Planning and Zoning Boards, and currently represents many developers, property owners, corporations and private individuals in all types of matters involving real property transactions, zoning and land use.

Ms. Deegan Dickson serves on the School Board of All Saint’s Regional Catholic School in Glen Cove, the Board of Tomorrow’s Hope Foundation, and the Advisory Council of the North Shore University Hospital at Glen Cove, where she has helped to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars to support children and the youth of Long Island. She is also a member of the Nassau County Women’s Bar Association, WEDLI (Women Economic Developers of Long Island), the Nassau County Catholic Lawyer’s Guild and the New York Democratic Lawyers Council.

In addition to her leadership in the business community, Ms. Deegan Dickson is also a leader and active contributor to the Long Island community at large. On behalf of the Firm, she participates in the Firms’ annual Christmas Holiday Toy Drive benefiting Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, and contributes to several local children’s groups.

The inaugural ADVOCATES FOR CHILDREN & YOUTH AWARDS COCKTAIL RECEPTION took place on Tuesday, September 13, 2011, 6pm to 8pm, at The Omni, 333 Earle Ovington Boulevard, Uniondale. Hosted by Forchelli, Curto, Deegan, Schwartz, Mineo, Cohn, and Terrana LLP.
