BENJAMIN P. MALERBA, ESQ., Partner, Rivkin Radler LLP, has been named one of the top 25 individuals to receive the first-ever OUTSTANDING ADVOCATE FOR CHILDREN & YOUTH AWARD on September 13th for outstanding civic and community support!  Help support Ben in his goal to raise a minimum of $1,000 for this important fundraiser (click here for details).  All donations are 100 percent tax-deductible!
Mr. Malerba is a Partner in the firm's Corporate & Commercial and Health Services Practice Groups. Mr. Malerba counsels a cross-section of healthcare providers and facilities, including Ambulatory Surgery Centers, Diagnostic and Treatment Centers, Dialysis Facilities, Hospitals, IPAs and Federally Qualified Health Centers, in connection with a broad array of issues, including general business transactions, state licensing issues, regulatory compliance, disputes with managed care companies, federal and state anti-kickback statutes, self-referral statutes, and federal privacy laws . Mr. Malerba regularly represents facilities before the New York Department of Health and the New York State Public Health Council. In addition, Mr. Malerba handles a wide variety of general corporate and commercial matters, including partnership, shareholder, limited liability company and employment transactions and agreements.

Mr. Malerba also frequently lectures on various healthcare issues before hospitals, medical groups, and state professional associations.

Mr. Malerba has experience in numerous other areas including: insurance coverage matters, age and gender discrimination, employment law, municipal liability, civil rights matters, and general liability.

Mr. Malerba is a participant in the Volunteer Lawyers' Project, where he represents tenants in landlord/tenant proceedings. Mr. Malerba also mentors children in a program co-sponsored by Rivkin Radler LLP, the Mentoring Partnership of Long Island, and Summit Lane Elementary School in Levittown, New York. In 2011, he was inducted into Long Island Business News' 40 Rising Stars Under 40.
